This 3 Days Gorilla Safari takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for the gorilla habituation experience, a 4 hour meet up with the mountain gorillas in their natural habitats. Bwindi is the most popular destination for gorilla tracking and it is a known home to over 480 mountain gorillas. Tourists come from all over the world to track the gorillas! It’s such a wonderful experience to watch the mountain gorillas up-close and personal in the impenetrable forest.

Day 1: Kampala – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Pick up from Kampala or Entebbe in South Western Uganda or Kigali in Rwanda.

Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in South Western Uganda. The journey takes you through Western Uganda. Have a stopover at the Equator. Have lunch in Mbarara. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. You will arrive in the afternoon. Relax at the lodge as you await the next day gorilla trek.

DAY 2: GORILLA TRACKING

The guide will pick you up after early breakfast, and drive you to the Rushaga Outpost of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Get briefed about the ‘Dos’ and ‘Don’ts’ of gorilla trekking and how you should behave while with the gorillas within the forest. Guided by a UWA Ranger Guide, start the hike into the impenetrable jungle to look for the endangered mountain gorillas. The Gorilla Habituation Experience can take 6-10 hours depending on the movements of the mountain gorillas within the forest. Tracking involves walking up steep and densely forested hills before finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation. Upon meeting the mountain gorillas, you will stay with these giant apes for 4 hours enjoying observation and photography.

DAY 3: Travel Back to Kampala

After breakfast, embark on a return trip to Kampala or Entebbe. Drop off at the hotel or Airport.
